The receptionist is a decent guy who CAN speak english, he helped us a lot especially dealing with taxis instead of us. Good hygiene, rooms are decent with some age related marks. It’s a small family run hotel on a great location. The only thing is the uncontrollable AC unit, no matter what you press its locked and probably centrally operated. Good internet connection.

Fantastic value for money hotel in Istanbul. Great location near Bakirkoy metro station. Close to local shopping malls & Bakirkoy Sahil parki overlooking Bosporus straight. Good local restaurants (not many on TripAdvisor - and found it difficult to add them due to no current location feature on TripAdvisor app). Staff & service excellent 👍

Just from the very beginning when you enter a lobby it smells like in toilet because of cats sleeping on every chair. I had stay there for 1 night on December, heater inside the room didn't work, so what receptionist (so-called), replied to my coplaint: "if you not satisfied you can leave". Is that what you call "service"? That was the most worst experience dealing with hotel in my life. Very unprofessional stuff, rooms look like a cattle corral: cold inside, no enouph light and even handles on wardrobe are broken. So i don't recommend to anyone to stay there. Recommendation to owner: try to improve your service guys! Don't hire people from the streets, teach them at least how to properly communicate with clients.

Bad welcoming experience with a taxi who fooled me. Mustafá from reception helped me so much.He got involved to find driver. He called pólice & took control and assist me while I was there. Great stay

The room was large enough. The bathroom and room were very clean. All amenities were provided like mini bar, toiletries, hair dryer, hot water kettle, decent bedding, comfortable beds, closet space, tv, and fancy mood lighting! The room was pretty quiet with windows closed of course. And it was non-smoking! Lots of activity on the mainly-walking street below. The AC worked but its full power mode was not really strong enough for our liking. They have a very nice full breakfast included in their rate. They have car service if you need it to/from the airport but it is much cheaper to just take a cab. Like $4 vs $20. But nice to have someone arrange that for you if you are uncertain or frightened by crazy cab driving! While one review wrote it is great for shopping, it is only if you are interested in big malls and normal stuff you might buy anywhere. This didn't feel at all like an area for tourists as there were zero stores with traditional, unique Turkish items like their beautiful ceramics or towels or spices or anything remotely like that. We only picked this location because of its proximity to the airport and reviews about it being near shopping - unfortunately for us, the wrong kind of shopping! Not too many English speakers in this part of town compared to Sultanahmet where we stayed for several nights. Back to the hotel, the place is near everything in Bakirkoy as far as eating and western-shopping. The staff was super accommodating and helpful. And its location is great if you have an early flight out of Ataturk. Just don't save your shopping for the last day of your trip!
